New Clients
Individual Therapy
We provide an approachable, comfortable, safe space to sort out what’s felt sticky, struggly and limiting in your job, at home, in your relationships, or in your own mind.
The therapy process allows us to gain more insight as we become aware of our patterns, relationships, thoughts, and strengths. When we can regularly participate in this type of reflection together and in between sessions, we tend to realize what’s actually within our control.
Clarity comes from engagement, not just thought – relationships are what built the inner voices we have inside of us, but they’re also the practice field to try new things. They’re what teach us how we’d like to grow. Relationship is at the heart of all we do.
Group Therapy
Group therapy and support groups are powerful and transformative tools to healing and growth as they acknowledge and address the interconnectedness of individuals’ emotional, psychological, physical, and even spiritual well-being. They go beyond treating isolated symptoms and delve into the root causes of distress, aiming to foster a comprehensive sense of wellness. Participants are encouraged to explore not only their mental and emotional challenges but also how these aspects intersect with their lifestyles, relationships, and overall sense of purpose.
At the heart of these approaches are a strong emphasis on community, which is a foundational value for us at Thrive Ahead Co. These groups become a safe space where participants can share their stories, vulnerabilities, and triumphs without fear of judgment. The shared understanding among group members creates a profound sense of belonging and acceptance, often filling the void of isolation that mental health struggles can bring. Through the group dynamic, individuals learn that they are not alone in their experiences and that their feelings are valid.
We aim to have groups but in-person and online to fit the needs of our members and community on a seasonal basis. Sometimes these groups will have a weekly focus on the main topic, sometimes they will be facilitated to help members build skills in a certain area and others will be more process oriented, taking shape by what group members bring to discussion. We look forward to this modality being a consistent way to offer a wide range of support to our members in the best format for growth: relationship.

Specialties
Accessing Vulnerability
I’m ready to make some big changes in life and have a hard time knowing my next steps or feeling confident in them. When I try to share what I’m looking forward to with others, fear and judgment seems to seep in and it’s hard to be excited about what’s to come.
Breaking Habits
There are things that I say to myself or habits I have that don’t fit with the life I have now, they’re holding me back and I don’t know how to make the shift to something healthier.
Lack of Identity
or Routine
I thrived in school (or at my last job), I knew what was expected of me. I knew how to impress my teachers/boss and get good grades/feedback. Now that I need to create my own life, routines, structure, I have no idea what I’m doing and I feel like I’m not doing it well.
Connecting with a Therapist
I’ve been thinking about seeing a therapist for quite some time, it’s just hard to imagine getting to know someone at this point of where I am, they need to learn so much about me first and it’s hard to imagine connecting with someone about all this. If I’m going to do this, they better be down to earth because I can’t keep searching!

Out of Network Insurance
If you have an insurance policy that isn’t listed above, we can likely submit claims on your behalf to your insurance company for reimbursement. Full payment is required at the time of service and your insurance company will reimburse you in the way your policy outlines.

Partnerships with Wellness Resources
in the community
Depending on your specific needs and desire for growth, your therapist at times is able to recommend outside resources to help you engage with in addition to your sessions. We may suggest practices and experiences that allow you to grow in confidence, patience, understanding or even new ways to experience and grow the strengths you already possess. At times a client may be challenged to a new practice that allows them to learn about responding rather than reacting or how to let yourself be the priority in a new way. Every recommendation will be to another qualified professional who embraces the values and relationship-centered approach we have at Thrive Ahead Co.
Some of the partners and experiences we’ve encouraged past clients to include:

Physical Therapy

Martial Arts

Pottery Classes

Strength and Weight Training

Rock Climbing

Acupuncture

Yoga

Meditation
And the list of referrals keep growing in order to adapt your experience of growth to your specific needs!
