Mental Health Therapy
Approach
We provide an approachable, comfortable, safe space to sort out what’s felt sticky, struggly and limiting in your job, at school, at home, in your relationships, or in your own mind.
The therapy process allows us to gain more insight as we become aware of our patterns, relationships, thoughts, and strengths. When we can regularly participate in this type of reflection together and in between sessions, we tend to realize what’s actually within our control.
Clarity comes from engagement, not just thought – relationships are what build the inner voices we have inside of us, but those relationships in our lives are also the practice field to try new things.
They’re what teach us how we’d like to grow. Relationship is at the heart of all we do.

Your Supports
Jenn Graus, LCPC
(she/her)
Jenn takes an active, engaged approach to therapy, offering more than a quiet, observational presence. She is approachable, attentive, and expressive, guiding sessions with thoughtful questions and genuine curiosity. Clients often appreciate having a space where they can explore ideas, identities, and possibilities without pressure or judgment.
She creates room to “try on” thoughts and perspectives, helping clients sort through what feels authentic and what doesn’t. Together, they unpack patterns, process fears around conflict, and prepare for meaningful conversations that may feel difficult to navigate alone.
Even in more challenging moments, Jenn integrates humor when appropriate, believing that holding both lightness and depth can be a powerful and grounding part of the healing process.
Jenn is a great fit for those who want an engaged, interactive therapist to help them explore their thoughts, navigate difficult conversations, and gain clarity and confidence in who they are and how they show up.
Laura Young, LCPC
(they/them)
Laura brings a compassionate, collaborative approach to therapy, helping clients navigate overwhelming emotions, anxiety, and burnout with openness and curiosity. They believes that each person holds deep insight into themselves and, with the right support, can develop the tools and language needed to move through emotional barriers and feel more at ease.
With a Master’s in Counseling and Art Therapy, Laura integrates both traditional talk therapy and creative expression, offering a flexible, personalized experience. They works especially well with individuals who feel emotionally drained, stuck in survival mode, or disconnected from themselves.
Together, you’ll create space to explore your thoughts, process emotions, and build a more supportive relationship with yourself at a pace that feels manageable, grounding, and aligned with your needs.
Nate Sullivan, MDiv MA
(he/him)
Nate brings a thoughtful, compassionate, and person-centered approach to therapy, creating space for clients to explore who they are, what matters to them, and how their experiences have shaped the way they see themselves and the world. He approaches conversations with curiosity and openness, helping clients feel heard and understood without pressure to arrive at a particular answer.
Nate works especially well with individuals navigating identity exploration, LGBTQ+ experiences, religious trauma & deconstruction, spirituality, and life transitions. He recognizes that questions around belonging, relationships, family expectations, and personal values can be deeply interconnected. His approach invites clients to examine these experiences, make sense of conflicting feelings, and develop a stronger connection to their own beliefs and sense of self.
Rather than prescribing a particular path forward, Nate works collaboratively with clients to explore possibilities, process grief and uncertainty, and find meaning in their experiences. He values the complexity of each person’s story and creates room for both difficult questions and personal growth.
Nate is a great fit for those exploring identity, spirituality, relationships, or major life transitions who want a thoughtful, affirming space to better understand themselves and move forward in ways that feel authentic and meaningful.
FAQ’s
What insurances do you take?
Our mental health therapy services accept Aetna, BCBS PPO & Blue Choice. Our team offers an insurance benefits check when you schedule your initial consultation.
What are your out of pocket rates?
Our self pay clients pay a rate of $200 per 60 minute session.
Clients with insurance benefits have policies with contracted rates with our practice. More information can be gathered about your specific costs during our initial consultation with you. To gather benefits information, we just ask that you provide us with a copy of the front and back of your insurance card and your Date of Birth.
Do you offer packages?
We see therapy services as a process in developing a long term relationship and resource to your existing support system (or helping you grow one to begin with) because of this, short term packages aren’t appropriate for the type of relationship we aim to have with you. If you don’t have a health insurance policy we are in network with, we would be glad to talk through payment options with you and have a limited number of sliding scale sessions available for those who are in need of this. Please inquire about these possibilities or your insurance questions during your initial consultation.
What is your cancellation policy?
Less than 48 hours is $75, charged to the card on file and if you haven’t made contact within that timeframe and your appointment has already begun, it is considered a no-show and no-shows will be charged at the full out-of-pocket rate and not covered by insurance.
Do I need to work with multiple providers since Thrive Ahead works holistically?
You are welcome to schedule an appointment for whatever service you’d like to. However, if there is another service that would serve you or complement the initial service you scheduled for, we are glad to make that recommendation with another provider at Thrive Ahead Co. or one of our partner providers.
